No prior experience is required. S. John Pruitt works with complete beginners through advanced shooters. Each session is tailored to your current skill level, whether you're handling a firearm for the first time or refining existing techniques.

Training is open to law enforcement officers, security professionals, concealed weapon license (CWL) applicants, and civilians. Group sessions for businesses, agencies, and organizations are also available.

What is included in the Concealed Weapon License (CWL) qualification?

The CWL qualification course covers Florida statutes on the use of deadly force, safe firearm handling, storage, and the live-fire qualification required by the state. Upon successful completion you receive the documentation needed to submit your CWL application.

Classroom sessions are held at our Jensen Beach, FL office (734 NE Jensen Beach Blvd.). Live fire range training takes place at a local range. The Mobile Scenario-Based Infrared Training unit can be deployed to your location anywhere in southeast Florida — no live-fire range required.

The mobile training unit uses laser/infrared simulation technology to run realistic force-on-force scenarios — domestic disturbance, workplace violence, active shooter response, and more — without live ammunition.
